Capcom Co., Ltd. today announced that in its consolidated business results for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2022, net sales were 110,054 million yen (up 15.5 % from the previous fiscal year), operating income was 42,909 million yen (up 24.0 % from the previous fiscal year), ordinary income was 44,330 million yen (up 27.2 % from the previous fiscal year), and net income attributable to owners of the parent was 32,553 million yen (up 30.6 % from the previous fiscal year).

Great to see Capcom getting the recognition they deserve, Monster Hunter is one of my all time favourite series and the recent reboots of RE really landed with the fans.

This is really impressive but I very much doubt its sustainable. There's a cost of living crisis going on right now and people aren't locked in their houses anymore with nothing else they can do.
I hope the developers dont suffer as a result of unrealistic expectations from shareholders and the higher ups at these companies (such as inthe way that Square Enix treated the companies that it recently sold for a pittance).
